⚠️ Things to know before adopting a tea plant ⚠️
The tea plant, Camellia sinensis var. assamica, is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach 2 to 3 meters in height and width after about twenty years. While generally well-suited to warm climates, it can tolerate sub-zero temperatures down to around -7°C (19°F).
It requires acidic soil (pH < 6), preferably high humidity (> 60%), moderate to high rainfall, well-drained soil, and an exposure ranging from partial shade to full sun.
