Description
Four years old and ready to be planted. Delivered in 2L pots.
We offer a batch of tea plants propagated from cuttings produced on our farm. Grouped under the designation “mixed”, these plants have not yet been sorted by cultivar due to the absence of precise classification in the nursery.
Although they are in excellent health and show strong vigor, precise identification remains difficult at this stage, as their morphological characteristics are not yet sufficiently developed. Identification will become possible over time as the plants mature.
This undetermined varietal origin allows us to offer these plants at a particularly competitive price.
⚠️ Before ordering a tea plant ⚠️
The Camellia Sinensis var. Sinensis tea plant is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach 2-3 meters in height and the same in width after around twenty years. Generally well adapted to temperate to continental climates, it can withstand sub-zero temperatures down to -12°c, and even -15°c on certain cultivars.
It requires acid soil (pH<6), preferably > 60% humidity, medium to high rainfall, well-drained soil and exposure to sun or shade.
