Filleule des fées’s approach
A pioneering ecological
tea plantation in Europe
A tea economy adapted to Brittany
We grow exceptional organic tea in the Blavet Valley, respecting the environment with chemical-free practices. Hand-picking, local composting and training to share our know-how are all part of our commitment to sustainable, responsible production.
Organic farming
The Blavet Valley, with its mild oceanic climate, granite soils and ideal humidity conditions, provides the perfect setting for growing our tea bushes.
Our approach is distinguished by its commitment to organic production that respects the environment and biodiversity, a rare approach among traditional tea-producing countries.
Our camellias grow without chemical fertilisers or pesticides, taking full advantage of the valley’s acidic granite soil, guaranteeing high-quality tea while preserving the local ecosystem.
An ecological and educational approach
Our commitment is demonstrated by the meticulous hand-picking of young shoots to preserve the health of the plants, and sustainable management with local inputs of straw, wood shavings and compost.
We also offer practical training courses to share our know-how and help other tea enthusiasts to grow their own tea.
Although our production is limited by our quest for quality and our eco-responsible approach, we support tea plantations in France by supplying suitable seedlings, thus encouraging the development of a community of committed producers.
We actively collaborate to develop the tea industry in France and Europe. This approach improves our own growing practices and sharing innovations promotes collective environmental responsibility.
